of Prevention:
Prevention
services are planned activities designed to preclude or reduce the use
of drugs and alcohol which has a negative impact on the individual, the
family, and the larger society. Positive interpersonal and human relations
skills, enhanced ability to related to social institutions and effective
coping skills are also the aim of prevention activities. Prevention activities
are targeted at the total population. Prevention activities can be delivered
through schools, media, family, or community agencies and groups.
Personal Solutions Inc. provides educational programs and informational
services to the community. Access to the internet enables the office to
provide current, up-to-date information on any alcohol, tobacco or other
drug related issue. Informational materials are available to individuals
and are also available in bulk quantities for larger groups, such as churches,
schools, 4-H, scouts, civic organizations, agencies or employers. Staff
is available to provide technical assistance for anything from a school
report to a community project or coalition.
